COMMUNICATIONS & ADMISSIONS MANAGER

Starting: January 2020, (handover period in December for 1 day per week ideally)

Job type: 5 days per week, term time only

 

THIS IS A TERM TIME ONLY POST – 38 WEEKS A YEAR AND INSET DAYS

(37 School weeks and 1 week before the new school year starts in September).

 

Hours: Monday-Friday 8.45am-3.45pm

Reports to: School Business Manager

The Iona School in Nottingham is looking for a Communications & Admissions Manager on a term-time only basis. We are a small friendly independent primary school with a vibrant community, committed to providing the best care and education based on the principles given by Rudolph Steiner.  The Communications & Admissions Manager will oversee pupil admissions at the school and manage school communications both internally

(liaising with trustees, school leaders,  teachers and parents) and externally (school website, social media feeds, print advertisements, PR). You will be a member of the school management team.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the Admission process from first enquiry to enrolling pupils.
  • Project manage monthly Open Mornings and follow-up all lines of enquiry.
  • Manage the maintenance of the school website and social media online presence.
  • Liaise with local and national press on behalf of the school.
  • Maintain school databases i.e. School Census, LEA Admissions database.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly school management meetings and prepare minutes for Trustees and School

Leaders.

  • Project manage the writing, collating, printing and distribution of school publicity materials.
  • Write and broadcast the school e-newsletter.
