13. March 2020 · Comments Off on Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update · Categories: Steiner education

We continue to follow the guidance given on the government website:
https://www.gov.uk/government/topical-events/coronavirus-covid-19-uk-government-response

We are fully aware of daily updates and are beginning to put together work for pupils in the event that we do close before the Easter holidays.

Posters are up around school reminding children, staff and visitors of the importance of hand washing to prevent the spread of germs.  We all need to be mindful of any symptoms to help prevent the spread of this virus.  If you display any symptoms or feel unwell, please do not come in to school.

Dear Iona Community,

Please take part in this school wide fundraising event.

SMALL CHANGE FOR BIG CHANGE!

What to do-

Collect any loose change from now until the Advent Fayre in a jar at home,

get the whole family involved, or work colleagues.

On the day of the Advent Fayre, bring your change to me (I will be wheeling  the big jar around the school) and we will pour the change into the jar.

There will be an opportunity to guess –

THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF MONEY IN THE JAR

and

THE TOTAL WEIGHT OF THE JAR AND MONEY

Prizes will be given for the closest estimates.

The proceeds will go towards buying stock for our School Community Shop.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated enthusiasm and participation.
