The Iona School is a primary school in Nottingham in the East Midlands. The school offers Steiner Waldorf education based upon the principles given by Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925).
It caters for children aged from three and a half to eleven, while our Nursery is available for younger children.
The school was founded in 1985 by a group of teachers and parents who established The Iona School Association with the intention that this education should be available to all children regardless of race, religion or economic background.
At Iona School, our ethos is to give the children:

We believe that education should be a continuing process, and our task is to stimulate and develop the faculties and skills which enable our pupils to learn for life, from life, throughout life.
Iona School is owned and managed by Iona School Association, which is registered in England as a company limited by guarantee (No 1911659) and registered as a charity (No 516999).
